The question, can it run crysis has been a meme in the PC gaming community for quite some time now. When crises first came out, it became the essential benchmark for everybody’s new gaming P.C. theory behind it being, if your new gaming P.C. could run crysis, it could basically run anything that you throw at it. Now we get to breathe a whole new life into this old meme because crysis is getting an official re-mastered.
Not only are we seeing this remaster for p.c, we are also getting an X-Box one PS4 and even the Nintendo switch. So yesterday, the official crysis Twitter page had this to say, Cloke disengaged. You’ve been asking, you’ve been waiting. Today, the wait is over. It’s coming. Crysis re-mastered on p.c PlayStation 4, X-Box one and for the very first time on the Nintendo switch platform. Of course, the biggest question on everybody’s mind is when is the release date planned for for the new re-mastered? Unfortunately, no info that has been officially given yet. Really, all we know right now is that this is going to be a remaster where we’ll see a big refresh and update in graphics and textures. We’ll see this across all platforms.
But with p.c specifically, we will also be seeing the addition of Ray tracing added into the game. We also know that the game is being developed by Sabre Interactive, which I think is quite exciting because if you have been following Samer Interactive’s work as of late, they’ve been working on some pretty good projects just to name a few games off the top of my head. They have done assistance with the Halo Master Chief Collection. They have worked on the Ghostbusters ports for the switch, which was an excellent port and probably their biggest work so far. Which are three ports for the Nintendo switch.
Sure, there are a lot of sacrifices made to get that game running on the switch, but the fact that they got it running as well as they did on that little device. Yeah, I think if anybody can handle a solid crysis remaster, it’s definitely these guys. Personally, I’m super excited for this game to come out. I just hope that the development cycle doesn’t take too long. But then again, with the whole Covid 19 situation, it’s kind of hard to say with anything right now. And you know, aside from p.c, I really do hope that for the console releases we do get to see some physical releases. Yeah, it’s amazing. Crysis is getting a remaster and somehow the switch will be able to run it.
