Xbox Series X and PS5 Next Gen Console Reveals Coming Soon

We are finally getting to the point where the X-Box series X and the PlayStation 5 full console reveal and next gen games showcases are almost here and I think they’re both set for May. Now there are rumors swirling around everywhere about X Box Series X events and May and June at a potential PS5 reveal some time at the end of next month. It certainly sounds like things are starting to move towards us actually getting a peek at the next gen games like Fable and Horizon Zero Dawn 2.

But the big question that people want to know is when am I going to be able to see these games? Well, according to some industry analysts, it’s going to be pretty soon. And I happen to agree with a couple of days ago on Twitter, industry analysts see huge who usually is spot on when it comes to a lot of things tweeted out this with E3 cancelled, a lot of the plan reveals and announcements have been moved out of that single week. Some are now much earlier, others much later, some still during E3 week. The first proper next gen console games showcase is much earlier to Courcy, then adds on that everything is fluid, especially with the sickness that is going around in the world.

So things could still be delayed. And then earlier today, my buddy just Korten who I’d do the X-Box to podcasts, put out some information where he said he is hearing that X box Lockhart a.k.a. the X Box series S is an X box take home with employees testing out that system before its official reveal, which is when question mark. Well, earlier today, the senior editor at The Verge, Tom Warne, was asked that very question. Any idea if we might see Lockhart soon? And Tom responded with be. But he put a space between May giving more credence to the rumor that there is an X box event in May. Now, last week we talked about this to digital event rumor.

And I 100 percent believe that there is an event in May and that is what zie huge is referring to in his tweet. Microsoft is very keen to continue the marketing blitz. They’ve been on with X Box Series X ever since they revealed it at the veejay days last year. They want to get series X in people’s minds. They want to show off fable. They want to show off Halo Infinite. They want to invite a bunch of big third parties onto this digital stage to show off perhaps something from Ubisoft like Assassin’s Creed and get people talking very positively about the X-Box series X and what it’s going to offer for next generation. But it’s not just one event for X-Box. Yes, we know they were supposed to be at E3 and everybody assumed that around that time in June, Microsoft would do another event.

But see, you’d said that some are a little bit later and I would not be surprised if Microsoft’s E3 replacement event is in July, where they can actually showcase all the games, not only from their first party, but also from the third party, because there are tons of third party developers and publishers that want to start marketing their games for next generation. Now, of course, all this stuff is rumors and speculation. Nothing is truly confirmed until Microsoft comes out and says it. But if you’re asking my thoughts on the matter, I think Microsoft will announce the X-Box Series X Digital event next week, and I think we’ll see it sometime in the first week of May, maybe May 5th, May 6th. I expect it to be a Tuesday or Wednesday. Definitely not a Monday.

And you can pretty much rule out Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. There’s only a couple dates. It could be May 5th, May 12th, May 19th. But the further you move back, of course, there’s the possibility you run into what PlayStation is planning. So, of course, that begs the question, what exactly is Sony planning? What the PlayStation 5? It certainly seems that they’ve been the exact opposite of X-Box with the marketing of their brand new consoles. X-Box is out there shouting from the rooftops about the new system. They’ve announced even some games for next generation Halo Infinite Ever Wild and how Blade Two? The only things we know about the PlayStation 5 is that it has a really fast SSD and ask some really cool 3D audio.

The logo is what everybody expected it to be. And we saw a look at the P.S. 5 dual sense. controller. But people are really hungry about new news about PlayStation as all those announcements were trending on Twitter and got millions of views on YouTube and likes on Instagram. PlayStation fans are waiting to see what the council is going to look like. But more importantly, they want to know what Sony’s first parties are making and what exclusives they can play only on the PlayStation 5. We know Gorilla is probably working on Horizon Zero Dawn to blueprints. Rumored to be working on a remake of Demon Souls is Naughty Dog really working on a new sci fi IP?

How’s the backwards compatibility going to work with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5? There are a lot of unanswered questions that PlayStation fans want to hear. And you know what? At some point Sony is going to have to talk about this now. Sure. Maybe before they didn’t want to overshadow Final Fantasy 7 remake and last of us, part 2 and goes to Cima Final Fantasy remake is out. Our last of us, part 2 has been delayed indefinitely. Kind of getting to the point now where Sony has to start talking about the product they’re going to try to sell you at the end of the year.

So while I 100 percent believe there is an X-Box digital event for series X and games like Fable and Halo and some of the third party stuff early May, I am also of the opinion that towards the end of May we will also get our first look at the PlayStation 5 console and some looks at some games alongside it because the only one we know for sure is God fall by gearbox.

So what do you guys think? We will see the proper reveals of the X-Box series X and PlayStation 5. Let me know your guesses in the comments below and tell me what games you are most excited to see for next generation. It’s starting to really look like we won’t have to wait long to see the next generation games that X-Box and PlayStation are going to be selling to us for the next couple years. So that makes me incredibly excited to see if my prediction comes true and we get the announcement of the X-Box digital event for May.
